Uniform Policy
Gi uniform policy
- Gi: A Jiu-Jitsu specific gi is required, made of cotton or a similar material.
- Condition: The gi must be clean, in good repair with no rips or tears, and should not have slippery substances applied to the fabric.
- Colors: Gi's must be solid with the top and pants being the same color. No camouflage, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow or neon green Gi's.
- Patches: No vulgar or offensive messages on patches. No patches from non-affiliated schools unless visiting. No excessive number of patches. This is Jiu-Jitsu not NASCAR.
No Gi uniform Policy
- Rash guard: A long-sleeved or short sleeved, snug-fitting rash guard is mandatory for all participants, with no bare chests allowed. Sleeveless rash guards are not permitted.
- Bottoms: Athletes must wear grappling or MMA shorts.
- Shorts: Shorts must not have pockets, zippers, or metal/plastic parts.
- Spats/Compression pants: These are allowed, but if worn, they must be covered by shorts.
- Colors: Uniforms should be a solid color (black, white, or rank color) and must not be excessively flashy or neon.
- Language and Imaging: No vulgar or offensive messages on rash guard or grappling shorts.
